Definition of Day Porter Service
A “Day Porter Service,” as that term is used in commercial leasing, is a vendor that provides custodian-type cleaning services, usually during the day, to a particular facility, portion of a facility, or group of facilities. Some commercial leases will require the landlord to provide a Day Porter Service.
COMMENT: A provision in a lease requiring a Day Porter Service should specify the exact nature of the custodian-type cleaning services that are required, instead of generically referring to a Day Porter Service.
